LIFA, Lambert Instruments Fluorescence Attachment
The LIFA (Lambert Instruments Fluorescence Attachment) for lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM) can be attached to any widefield fluorescence microscope and works in the homodyne frequency domain. This means that it consists of a modulated light source and a modulated image intensifier as detector (i.e. ICCD camera). The system is easy to install (within 1 hour) and to operate and does not require an optical bench with laser. The LIFA system has been judged "easy and highly quantitative" for a.o. FLIM FRET studies. See further for its components. |

LIFA-Combined To Laser - TIRF
The combination of the LIFA (Lambert Instruments Lifetime Attachment) with laser-TIRF enables lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM) while detecting just the first 100nm of the sample. TIRF FLIM images provide better resolution and are more specific regarding lifetime values per region of interest which is important e.g. in case of FLIM FRET studies of the cellular plasma membrane. |

LIFA, Combined To Yokogawa Spinning Disk
The combination of the LIFA (Lambert Instruments Lifetime Attachment) with the?Yokogawa spinning disk enables lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM) while doing optical sectioning. The confocal images provide better resolution and are more specific regarding lifetime values per region of interest which is important in case of e.g. FLIM FRET studies. |

ILIFA-X, for Long Ligetime Phosphorescence Imaging
the newest addition to the LIFA roduct line is the LIFA-X. LIFA stands for Lambert Instruments Fluorescence lifetime imaging Attachment. The LIFA-X for long lifetime imaging microscopy of lifetimes from 0.1 ns up to 1 ms (phosphorescence). The represents the extended range of lifetimes that can be resolved when compared to the LIFA (0.1 ns 300 ns). The LIFA-X can be used for, e.g., measuring oxygen concentrations using optodes or reactive oxygen species in cells. |

¥±18MD, Modulated Image Intensifier
The II18MD is the Image Intensifier with an 18mm diameter input screen that can be modulated and is digitally controlled. The II18MD modulated image intensifier is used as key component for FLIM (Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy) in the homodyne frequency domain. The II18MD modulated image intensifier is designed for users who wish to apply the highest quality detector as part of their set-up for fluorescence lifetime imaging. |

Multi - LED
Developed as a versatile excitation light source for FLIM in the frequency domain, our Multi-LED system provides excitation light at high modulation depths. Compared to other light sources, the high-power LEDs provide non-phototoxic illumination levels, and have a long economic lifespan. Available wavelengths cover the range from 360 to 640nm. |

¡Ü Intensified CCD Cameras (ICCD) |
| |
 |
An Intensified CDD (ICCD) camera is an electronic camera, analogue or digital, equipped with an intensified CCD as image sensor. The sensor uses an image intensifier that is fiber optically coupled to the CCD chip to increase the sensitivity down to single photon level.
An ICCD camera allows image acquisition at very low light levels over a wide range of spectral response and at relatively high speed. Single photons can be detected and discriminated from CCD noise. Ultra high-speed phenomena can be captured by using the image intensifier as a fast shutter (gating). |

LI2CAM, Intensified CCD Camera
Fast, high resolution, ICCD -intensified CCD camera offering sensitivity down to single photon level. The LI2CAM is computer controlled, offering many features like variable integration times, partial scan mode (ROI), binning and ast gating down to 2ns (optional) |
| |
 |
Day/Night Camera
This ICCD -Intensified CCD "Day / Night" camera is a very sensitive low light level camera.
The image intensifier is equipped with automatic gain and gating control. |

Lambert Image Intensifier ¥±18/G/GD/GDF
The Lambert Image Intensifier II18 is a low-light-level camera attachment that can be coupled to a monochrome (B/W) video camera with 1/2", 2/3" or 1" image sensor. The Lambert Image Intensifier II18 increases the sensitivity of the camera and enables the detection of images at a light level as low as 10-5lux. The spectral sensitivity can be matched to the application within the range from 170nm to 900nm. |
